Topping off a great season working on some of the top global online brands, Walmart.com brought me onsite to work on their leading ecommerce site. Design and developing landing pages, banner ads, framework integration specs, seasonal campaigns for the Health, Beauty & Wellness section.
Jumped head-on into a merathon gig at McCann San Francisco. 26 hours in 2 days! Felt like I was back in college getting ready for finals. Nice bunch of people to work with on HP — one of the hottest accounts in the world.
Working with one of the greatest agencies in the world, Publicis Modem, on several projects with clients including PayPal and LG Phones. Putting the icing on the cake, the office is dog friendly, the staff is amazing and friendly, and the work is outstanding.

After some much needed time off, we've had the opportunity to apply some of the latest technologies and online programming languages toward the re-launch of dannyraydesign.com.
With a reputation for giving back preceding him, one of my annual sponsors contacted me in need of design help for a first-annual benefit to raise money for cancer research. Without hessitation, I stepped in launched their website overnight plus designed their logo, Twitter page and marketing material for the event.
Successfully and beyond expectations, CDS was able to raise over $9k in an afternoon to benefit the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation.
In July of 2008, Danny was hired for a 3 week contract at Sephora. He was able to bring 3 months of back-logged design work up to date, exceeding the expectations of the marketing manager and was invited to continue on. The contract lasted for about 14 months and included direct mail, in-store, advertising, email design and e-commerce page design.
During this time, Danny helped the department launch some exciting new projects including social media marketing.
Netgear hired Danny Ray Design to design POP signage for Walmart stores to enhance sales and customer of understanding of wireless products. The challenge was to present the information in a clear, simple visual solution to help lower the high return rate of wireless products.
Using Walmart branding and meeting the fast turn-around requests of the Netgear team, DRD delivered new signs and presention material for the Netgear sales team.
During contract with Sephora Inside JCPenney, Danny helps SiJCP go social designing new media modules for JCPenney Facebook pages resulting in great first month click-through conversions. DRD designs weekly modules through 2009 (see Beauty Tips on JCPenney's fan page wall: http://www.facebook.com/jcpenney).
For the second year, I participated in the AIDS Lifecycyle 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. 2500 riders and 500 roadies on a 7 day journey raises about $12 million for AIDS charities currently facing huge budget cuts. Our motto, we ride until there is a cure. My first year I raised $2700, this year I raised $4175 and next year I hope to raise $6000.
